Speech and language therapists (SALTs) provide support and care for our children who have difficulties with communication, eating, drinking or swallowing. Our speech and language therapist comes to Deer Park at structured times throughout the year to assess and treat speech, language and communication difficulties in our children to help them communicate better. They then develop tailored plans and work with staff so that they are able to deliver the best support.
Sometimes it is deemed that this external support is necessary. Should this be the case for your child, we will discuss any referrals with families in the first instance and gain full consent before proceeding with the referral.
