Frances Bracegirdle – Acting Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (Assessment, Attendance and Curriculum Lead)


Frances Bracegirdle is the Acting Headteacher at Deer Park School from September 2019. She is a highly experienced Key Stage One and Key Stage Two practitioner. She has been at the forefront of delivering a broad, stimulating and well balanced curriculum and has a proven track record of raising attainment across the whole primary range.

“I am delighted to have been appointed as Acting Headteacher of Deer Park School and I am very excited to join the team in September. Having grown up and taught in Richmond, I value the wealth of inspiring resources that are available from the local area. I am passionate about providing young minds with exciting and stimulating opportunities to develop into happy successful individuals who strive for excellence. I really look forward to meeting you all and working with the whole community.”

Jenny McLellan – Acting Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Reception (Bambi) Class Teacher, (SENco, Inclusion and EYFS Lead) 

Jennifer McLellan, Reception Class Teacher, is joining us from Chatsworth Primary School in Hounslow where she has been a classroom teacher for four years.  She is a fully qualified teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the London Diocese Board of Schools in Early Years and a BA (Hons) in Event Management.

Jennifer said, “I am so excited to have the opportunity to be the first Reception teacher at Deer Park School and to be part of such an enthusiastic team! I am looking forward to getting to know the families that will create our community and to give each child a positive start to their education.”


Viviane  Zanini – Reception (Fawn) Class Teacher 


Having worked as a volunteer at Deer Park School for a year, following my Masters degree in Early Years Development, I am very excited to start teaching full-time. I am looking forward to working alongside the supportive and encouraging Deer Park team.
In my role as one of the Reception class teachers, I am aiming to develop the children’s passion for learning and to foster their curiosity.

Victoria Coward – Scting Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Year 3 Muntjac Class Teacher (Key Stage 2 Leader and Science Lead)

Victoria joined Deer Park School in September 2018 and is leading the school in its next exciting phase in to Key Stage 2.  Victoria is an experienced teacher having taught years 3 through to 6 in her previous school.

“I am so delighted to be teaching at Deer Park School. In keeping with the deer theme I have decided to call the class ‘Muntjac Class’. My father used to tell a joke about Muntjac deer so it is a lovely way to remember him. Chocolate will be our first topic. We shall learn all about how it is made, where it comes from and delve into the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I shall spend the summer cycling, swimming and running in preparation for my triathlon in September with Mrs Bracegirdle. I look forward to getting to know the children, staff and parents.”


Sophie Ballantine – Year 4 (Sika) Class Teacher (Thinking Skills Lead and Maths Subject Lead)

I am delighted to be introducing myself as the Year 1 teacher at Deer Park School. I am really looking forward to working with the enthusiastic and welcoming team. I am excited to be bringing my energy and passion to deliver the best education for your child at this exciting stage in the schools’ development.

“I am excited to be relocating from Cardiff where I have 4 years classroom experience, working across the Key Stages. I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS from The Cornwall SCITT partnership and a BA (Hons) in American History from The University of  Aberystwyth, Wales.”

Nidhi Khurana – Office Manager

Nidhi is well known and respected within the borough of Richmond Upon Thames as an exceptionally efficient business support officer working directly with school inspectors and co-ordinating the collation and distribution of many important publications within the local authority. Nidhi will be a very welcome addition to the team with her extensive network of connections across both Richmond and Kingston as well as providing a much needed ‘front of house’ contact for all our parents and visitors.

“I am passionate about working within educational settings and cannot wait to explore this unique opportunity with Deer Park School after working for thirteen years within the education services in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and more lately with Achieving for Children. (Provider of children’s services in Kingston and Richmond) I am a confident, motivated and ambitious individual who is looking forward to contributing and joining the dedicated team at Deer Park school. My aim is to provide an efficient reception service with an excellent level of customer service so I can develop positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents and show my commitment towards being a part of the school. With my knowledge and experience, I will try my best to support the diverse needs of children, families and staff and develop new, innovative ways of working.”

Barbara has a passion for maths and supports the Year 1 Class most mornings; supervises at lunchtimes; and then works with groups across the school in the afternoon.





Roseanna Goodall- Teaching Assistant

I started working at Deer Park back in January 2018 as a teaching assistant for KS1 – working three days a week. I am now working as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant and as a Teaching Assistant providing interventions  five days a week. Working with all the wonderful children is very rewarding. I am constantly learning and growing as an individual within my role and no two days are the same which I love. This is more than just a job for me, it feels like home. I am looking forward to growing with the “Outstanding” Deer Park school. I also feel valued within Bellevue Place Education Trust and look forward to a long and rewarding career within the school with HEART!
